Limited is located within the harbour area of Lerwick and is 30 minutes
away from Shetland’s main airport at Sumburgh where regular
daily flights operate to Aberdeen, Inverness and Edinburgh
with onward air connections to
all major UK and European airports.
Ro-Ro
ferry services are provided daily between Aberdeen and Lerwick throughout
the year.
Ro-Ro
ferry services are maintained weekly between Lerwick, Norway, Faeroe,
Iceland and Denmark
Break/bulk
cargo services are provided to Shetland on a regular basis from the
UK mainland and Scandinavian
ports.
Throughout
the summer weekly air connections are maintained between Shetland and
Oslo in Norway.

geographical location and its comprehensive infrastructure mean
the islands make a major contribution to the activities of the oil and gas
industry in the UK’s northern waters.
The port of Lerwick
is just over 300Km (200 miles) from Aberdeen, Bergen in Norway and Torshavn
in the Faroe
Islands with Iceland being 750Km (500 miles)
away. The port is open 24 hours all year around.

Docking and Slipping Capacity
The company operates a covered slipway and repair facility within Lerwick with
a similar open slipway and repair facility at Scalloway.

Office
The company carries an “in-house” Technical Department which
offers project management, design and technical support to the day to
day operations
of the Company. Full use is made of computer technology including AutoCad

Workshops
The company provides sufficient workshops for all trades employed at
each of their ship repair and engineering locations.
Berthing
3000 metres of quay space without tidal restriction, is provided by
the Lerwick Port Authority. At Malakoff, berthing facilities are
provided alongside
the
slipway.
850 metres
of quay space at Blacksness Quay with no tidal restrictions are provided
by Scalloway Harbour Authorities. Berthing facilities provided
by
the company alongside slipway at West Shore, Scalloway.

The company utilises a range of computer-aided
facilities that ensure that the work undertaken
is tightly controlled

Design
services and technical back up are all sub-contracted.
