Vacancy - Powder Coating Technician

We have the following vacancy for a position based in Lerwick at Shetland Powder Coating:

Powder Coating Technician  

Candidate Requirements:

• Perform powder coating processes, including surface preparation, material handling, spraying, and curing, to ensure high-quality finishes.
• Set up and operate wet spray and powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booth systems, and ovens, following safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the powder coating area, including equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
• Experience of working with sheet metal and/or automotive repair would also be advantageous.
• SVQ3 or equivalent in automotive re-finishing or relevant previous experience would be advantageous although not essential as both in-housing training and formal training can be provided for the right candidate.

While a time-served candidate would be preferred, apprenticeship could also be offered to the right candidate.

An excellent wage rate dependent on relevant experience.
